Jammu 8th july 2006, the rest of all scenes of town make me feel no difference from this picture. stuck behind the unseen cage

1st day from Delhi to Jammu... hot like hell !
after an hour we arrived by taxi(better to call it tuk tuk with hindi pop song i like!) 38 degrees, jam, dusted, noisy Delhi
had vanilla icecream with caschew nuts and rose syrup.
we catch a bus heading to Jammu to catch another bus to Srinagar.
took us 12 night hours on pretty old, non air-con, shaken bus.
waken up all night with sound of hundreds of horn blowing along the way.

sunrise at Jammu not so beautiful.
fresh air of morning was covered by scent of war
guns and army's everywhere.
all buildings in town still have a trace of destroying

though i know from the begining this trip we're going to one of the most dangerous and sensitive part of India and Pakistan border, still didn't imagine this scenery before hand.
at that time my mind holding on to the future.

afraid? not at all.
